Oh could I be the sky on the fourth of July? “Well you do enough talk My little hawk, why do you cry? Tell me what did you learn from the Tillamook burn? Or the Fourth of July? We’re all gonna die.” Sitting at the bed with the halo at your head Was it all a disguise, like Junior High Where everything was fiction, future, and prediction Now where am I? My fading supply “Did you get enough love, my little dove Why do you cry? And I’m sorry I left, but it was for the best T...

Taking place along a beautiful river on Sat- Aug/20/2016, the festival seemed to have attracted many more visitors this year. A pleasant scene indeed as the cool slightly overcast summer weather gently conspired along to complement everyone's friendly mood and celebrating spirit. Thanks to the committed staff in facilities operations who have taken on the enormous task of returning the campus to normal following multiple heavy snow events. When foul weather strikes, the UMass Lowell Grounds team is responsible for plowing, removing snow and treating icy conditions for approximately 6.5 miles of walkways and sidewalks and 2.2 million square feet of parking lots. http://www.uml.edu Video produced by Alfonso Velasquez UMass Lowell Office of University Relations
Lowell ma right before some nasty weather
Cool weather has limited weed development in eastern Nebraska, which might be a benefit for pre-emergence management. Lowell Sandell, UNL Extension weed science educator, talks about how slow weed growth could help farmers be more efficient in their control.
A Moose Mountain Production filmed by Richard 'Moose' Ouellette takes a look at the Lowell,MA trolley operation on 10/05/1989. The car 4131 is a replica of a Brill "Semi-convertible" car which is suited to all-weather operation. Built in 1987 by Gomaco the car uses running gear and other mechanical components from Melbourne W-2 cars. If you like our stuff, Please comment and/or subscribe!
Visit my website at http://www.junglejoel.com - the 24 inch Clark Refractor is one of the most famous telescopes in the world. This video records an excellent lecture given by a Lowell Observatory staff member on the history of this telescope. It is one of the largest refractors ever built, and has seen consistent use since 1896. This is the telescope Percival Lowell used to document the alleged "canals" on Mars. There is also evidence that Edgar Rice Burroughs drew upon Lowell's work in his description of mythical Barsoom -the location used in his John Carter on Mars stories. The "canals on Mars" myth persisted through much of the Twentieth Century, until the Mariner 4 space probe flew by Mars in 1965. Please rate and comment, thanks!
As my girlfriend and I left the family reunion for Morocco, there were still some nasty thunderstorms in the area. The flooding rains were so bad that there was some standing water in areas, and we had to wait out the storm at a church on the intersection of U.S. 41 and Indiana Hwy 2. Enjoy the heavy rains (in which we need it the most)! Great links to view the weather for your area: www.weather.com www.spc.noaa.gov www.nws.noaa.gov
